Here's the bad news

You're dead.

Not physically.

But the Bible describes the human condition apart from Christ in startling terms:

“You were dead in your trespasses and sins...”
— Ephesians 2:1

And dead people don't need advice.

They don't need inspiration.

They don't need to try harder.

Dead people need
resurrection.

Why the Gospel is good news

And that's why the Gospel is such good news.

The death.

The burial.

The resurrection.

Of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died.

Jesus Christ was buried.

Jesus Christ rose again.

This is the Gospel.

Not self-help.

Not religious performance.

Not vague spirituality.

The Gospel is the good news that dead people can be made alive in Christ.

“But God, who is rich in mercy... made us alive with Christ.”
Ephesians 2:4–5

One hour.
One message.
One name.

Worship

A carefully selected night of worship centered on the cross, the blood, the resurrection, and the name of Jesus.

Proclamation

A clear declaration of the Gospel and a call to live unashamed of the message that saves.

A movement

Good News for Dead People is part of something larger:

The Gospel or nothing.

A night for the Gospel

This is a night for the Gospel.

The death.

The burial.

The resurrection.

Of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • For those who believe it.
  • For those who used to believe it.
  • For those still trying to understand it.
  • For those who refuse to be ashamed of it.

Come hear the good news
for dead people.

Read. Hear. Decide.

Frequently asked

No. Good News for Dead People happens during Halloween season, but it isn't a fear-based event or an alternative to trick-or-treating. Where death and darkness get attention, we proclaim resurrection and Christ. It is simply a night dedicated to the Gospel.
